100 yard range from my back deck to the target on my 10 acres. Built this about 4 years ago. Dropped the trees, cut to length, and stacked with my tractor. Good use for Black Pine trees. Guns and Chainsaws.
we had 1.5 acres or so of pine trees cut a couple years ago, all the slash and stumps were left. had about half ripped out last fall, hopeful to do second half this spring and use the stuff to make a good berm at the back of our property. should be able to get 250 yards pretty easy if i do it right. this is what i have pictured, we started piling stumps on south line so my dikhead neighbor can look at it.

I spend 4 months a year in Hale, MI at my hunting cabin. April, May, September, October, November. Great state until the snow comes.

The Micros are very nice little guns but they are state of the art early 1980's. I really don't think they are up to extended use either, the rather thin aluminum frame seems like it would be prone to cracking. I have a Micro .380 and it shoots great, but no way would I ever feed it the same rounds as my Glock 42.

Yeah, it's just all I have to compare it too. Haven't shot any of the smith or Taurus compacts to compare.

I think poly frames hold up better over extended firing as the material flexes and absorbs recoil shock better than metal does. This is especially true for today's micro 9's.

Gen. 5's are sweet! Need any mags? I have six 15 rounders for sale, 5 Glock and 1 SGM Tactical. Sold the gun and don't need em so I'll make you a good deal.

Only one? Sometimes the best parts kit is another identical firearm. 😁

This guy gets it! I tend to have multiples of my favorites. So far I have multiples of the Glock 19, Kel-Tec P32, Charter Arms Undercover, Winchester 94, and Marlin 336. Also have multiples of the same type and caliber of other guns like subcompact 9's, K frame size .38's, lever action .357's, and bolt action .22's.

I've now put around 200 rounds through the SD9 and it is doing well. The pistol seems to be dead on with my pet load of 3.8 grains HP-38/Arsenal 358-130-RF at 1.070. Does pretty good with the Lee 356-120 too. It has never malfunctioned in any way and the barrel really seems to like lead slugs. I now have a paddle holster and mag pouch for the SD9 so it can accompany me in the woods.

Only things I don't like about it in stock form are the trigger pull (easily remedied with the spring kit) and the depth of the rear sight notch. The way I aim, I have the front dot sitting at the bottom of the notch, which hits low with this pistol. I built up the notch with a small strip of stick-on grip material and now it is perfect. So far I really like this pistol, and look forward to wringing it out more. Gonna watch the pawn shops to see if I can get a good deal on a second one too.

Ugh, I think I got da fever. Local pawn shop had a cherry SD9 under the glass. Exterior was perfect, not even any wear marks from the slide on the barrel, shiny bore. I asked their low price, they said three bills total and I could layaway it, so I did.

Sweet A2 there. The tape on the stock gives it character.
Yea, my son and I went through a phase when he was 4 or 5 or so; he wanted all my rifles to be "camoed". So we did. Good dad/son times. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

'Course now almost 25 years later, I find myself trying to get the dang blasted stuff so I can sell some of them. I'm hoping like crap I didn't ruin the stock of my 1954 (one year older than me) Win model 70 in .308.

I have two A4 style, an Anderson 20" rifle and a Ruger carbine. Would prefer the fixed carry handle uppers but they would have cost twice as much. Strangely, I don't shoot them much. Lever and bolt actions are really what I'm passionate about.

Gave my SD9 some exercise yesterday. More than any gun I've ever had, this thing will punish you for errors in grip or trigger pull. Even the placement of your trigger finger has a significant effect. I also switched the rear sight for that of an M&P. Sight picture is way better now, even though there's little visual difference between the two.
