Well? 660. They're asking $700 with 3' bar. 45min drive. 246447340_3974161872685895_3479582970518465228_n.jpg

don't know till i decide whether to make the drive. I am wondering if this is a good price assuming it is a solid used stock saw.

When was its last rebuild? If the answer is never....then its probably good to expect needing new bearings and seals when figuring in price.

With a 3ft bar that saw has been ridden hard and put away wet. More than half original retail is probably a bit steep but not uncommon.

Based on the esthetic condition of the saw and the age ....I'd be splitting that thing before use. But thats me. Someone has really ran that thing hard and odds are it needs a full on refresh. New rubber...carb kit or carb. Lines. Av? Rings. Etc. Best of luck whatever u decide

Thanks all for weighing in. I will probably pass on this one. I have been doing a fair bit of slab milling lately and was considering a backup saw as the 394 i have is well used. I think my money would be better spent on something new or something from a reputable seller such as off this site.

I personally looked at the pictures and thought 200.00 tops !
I'm a consummate cheapskate though ,I'd definitely buy a saw from a builder on here before that saw.

If that saw was fully rebuilt but was in current cosmetic shape I'd say 600 wasn't unreasonable.

200 is closer to a reasonable number if the rebuild history is iffy. Hell.... 50 bux might be too much depending what's under the hood. I just rebuilt one. Customer was given the saw in a box. Wasn't super complete but it took about 1k to get it nice. Just gotta know exactly what you are looking at otherwise u can get stuck.

That saw lived quite a life from the pic.

i agree with matt i bought a saw for 400 that looked ok and had decent p/c and bearings but the further i got into it the more money i spent to make it nice. i ended up spending more on that saw than and new one costs. it was a project and i enjoyed the project but spent way more than i should have. however i now have almost enough parts the build a complete second saw

Is that clutch cover cracked?

My gut, with good B&C is 450ish.
