Everyone can now send a Gold Membership to anyone from a post or from that recipient's profile.

Look for the word Gift in the profile pop-up when you click on someone's username.

Look for the word Gift in the bottom right corner beside "Like" on someone's post. (Are we still calling it "poast"?)

I pushed the tab, it took me to my PayPal, asked for payment confirmation, then returned me to OPEForum to the below pictured page.

Good question. I suppose it will re-up itself because it's a PayPal renewable subscription.

Givers can cancel immediately because I'm pretty sure that the PayPal rule is that they will continue what has been paid for and then end afterward. In other words, When you cancel a yearly PayPal subscription after one month, the subscription typically remains active for the remainder of the 12-month period you already paid for, rather than ending immediately. You will retain access for the 11 remaining months, but the subscription will not renew next year.

I don't know if this forum software overrides that rule, though.

TRY IT tomorrow after it has been in service for a day. We will see if jmester keeps his membership.
To cancel, go to Settings > Payments > Manage Automatic Payments in your PayPal account.
