I was only kidding

A lot of people make fun of it - mostly those who have not given it a fair trial. Very aggressive in softwoods; works OK in most hardwoods.

It is a very convenient system, and sharpens better than a lot of guys can with a file.

So, does it sharpen itself too when you hit rocks?

Sort of - you really need to read through the thread. You also need to compare it to conventional chain cutters when they hit the same rocks.

I'd like to have one to keep on my beater saw.
Also good for a 'loaner saw'.

The starter sets (bar, chain, stone, sharpening cassette) sometimes go for stupid cheap because people don't 'get' the system.

Often $30, shipped, on eBay. I bought some closeouts in stores for $15, and off CraigsList for $10. All new in the package. Considering what the bar alone is worth, and what the list price is for replacement chains, there are a lot of deals that are hard to pass up.

If you see something cheap like that again......please let me know unless you want it yourself. I'm too cheap to pay 50.00 LOL

Beware PowerSharp Clones!!!!

PowerSharp clone 2.png

Seen recently on eBay. Oregon confirms that it is a clone / copy / counterfeit.

It is OK to not like the PowerSharp system, but do not base your opinion on these knock-offs.

Caveat Emptor!
