As long as the plugs in Brazil are made to NGK specs, I will be happy with that. After all, the Stihl plant in Virginia builds their saws to German Stihl specs. Yes?

The wall fell in '89 and reunified in '90. That would put them at over thirty years old. I only find one like that every once in a great while, in an old saw that someone tried a new plug in before giving up on it.

There are two kinds of bpmr7a, I prefer the ones that don’t have the removable terminal on them. Both will work on a saw, but sometimes the removable terminal ones will have that part loosen from vibration or removing the spark plug boot. The unscrew-able terminal is more idiot proof. Also a lot of the newer bpmr7a are made in Brazil. I still like them, but the older made in Japan ones were longer lasting imo.
Totally agree! The removable terminal absolutely sucks in a saw/ope application. Always comes loose and when you grip them hard with pliers to tighten them you either snap it off, strip the thread or leave sharp jagged edges on the terminal. I hate them.

Maybe press the removable piece to oval with vice then screw it in will help? I actually don't see them come off in a saw since the rubber boot and the spring inside won't let it.

Yes. The Brazil ones say nothing on the plug and Brazil on the box.
