I see several folks have mentioned they are interested in the bars
@trooney is selling but the shipping overseas is an issue. There is no doubt it is not cheap. I had some time waiting on a delivery here so I ran some shipping calculations just for the heck of it. All of these are based on the bars shipping from Illinois/Iowa. I figured 22"x 6" x 2" and 8lbs or 56cm x 15cm x 5 cm and 3.63kg. The classification is Machine Repair Parts with the international harmonization code 8436.99 -
Parts Of Agricultural, Horticultural, Forestry, Bee-keeping Machinery. I used generic addresses of homes that are listed for sale in each country.
United Kingdom $103.01 USPS Priority or $61.28 UPS
Croatia $101.78 USPS Priority or $173.70 UPS but that had $57.00 surcharge attached so a different address is cheaper
New Zealand $134.90 USPS Priority or $76.11 UPS
Massachusetts USA $24.97 USPS Priority or $15.93 UPS
As you can see it varies greatly and UPS rates kick the snot out of USPS (except Croatia). They also deliver in a much shorter time frame.
A side note to anyone that ships UPS. If you are shipping a thin parcel such as a single bar make sure you make the package at least 2 inches thick. If you make in 1 inch thick they tack on a $15 surcharge. Also UPS bases their rates more on the dimensional weight rather than the actual weight.
