I have a new(5 tanks of gas)Echo 4910 all stock except MM to near 100percent. Problem is I cleaned air filter today and it had fuel stains on it. It was very dirty as was entire carb and box. Saw is running great. Should I be concerned? What would cause this? Saw was set quite rich. I have it closer to right now and will check after I cut another load. Thanks

Spitback is normal in 2 stroke engines. If you set it very fat and safe, there would be more.

If saw is running well and the piston looks good I wouldn’t worry.

Thanks guys! After setting carb a little leaner it seems to not be as bad. Saw runs well and starts easily. I was cutting white oak tops pushed into a pile with a dozer and that was very dangerous. You couldn't tell how limbs were stressed till it was too late. I pinched bar like 4 times on first part of load. The tops were also pushed off a hill that left them on a steep hillside. I pulled them apart as much as I could cutting and pulling as I went. The 4910 cuts pretty good with 20" bar burried.
