Replanted again, then the floods came again the last 3 days. Had over 3 inch's since Friday when corn and sunflowers were replanted. This field is now under water again.
Damn Charlie, I hate to hear that.
Will you be able to try again, or is it too late?

No, I will not replant anymore, This has taken everything out of me and my pocket book. Much money goes into these fields for sweet corn and sunflowers for the dove hunters. It is getting to late here now.

Planted two more patches last Friday, and with the 3 days of rain I do see corn down the rows tonight ( I am super happy ) Still don't see any sunflowers yet, I will give them a couple more days. Will try to get some pics, if have time.

So I just realized I got my whole garden in, with no pics.
I'll try to rectify that tonight.

My 87 y.0. grandfather got ahold of the jug of 41% glyphosate, and sprayed 2 gallons of it, undiluted, onto our sweet corn (maybe 1/8 of an acre). I was sure it would be dead, but yesterday I saw plants coming up! There's hope!

Usually glyphosate has to contact the plant to kill it. But usually you don’t go full strength. Lol

I've been doing really good with the garden until lately. Squash and cucumbers are showing signs of powdery mildew. I'm treating it with milk/water spray mixed 40/60. Believe it or not, it works. And I throw on some sulfur when the temps are right. I don't use any chemicals on veggies....100% organic and non-GMO is what the wife likes, so I try to keep to it and use home remedies whenever we gets the nasties.

Got the late sweet corn patches cultivated yesterday. the big patch did not drown out as bad as the little one, they are starting to get there green color back after all the flooding. With a little luck I might make a few ears this year.
