I have a 620 that mostly runs fine but throttles up slightly when I pick it up or move it around quickly at idle. Why might it do that? It's the first I've ever experienced this, but it's also the first one I've ever "rebuilt". (We've had about 20 of them). It was smashed about 2 months ago, and I took a graveyard saw and pieced the two together to get one good saw out. Saw was running and cutting fine after I got it back together and tuned the carb. I am no mechanic, but I learned a lot (esp. on here) in the process of doing this, and really enjoyed it. I can post a short video of what the saw is doing, but someone would have to tell me how.

It sounds like you have an intake leak. I would do a leak-down test to see where. On chainsaws, the most common place to have a leak is your crank /oil seals, mostly on the clutch side. If you had the saw completely apart I would check the intake boot first.
