Bought a nice Poulan 4620 Farmhand the other day. Cleaned up nice, went thru carb, fuel lines etc. piston is clean without scoring. Put it back together went to pull the spark plug and it's frozen. Thought about trying to get it running to get it hot, pulling top cover and putting a candle to plug/head and using an impact to loosen it. Used this trick on frozen pipe plugs and bolts. Opinions? Thank you

Thanks for your input, had thought the same but as a last resort. Positioned the saw and put some WD40 on plug base and let it sit overnight, a quick burst with the impact this morning and it was out. Lesson learned pull the plug out first.

I would try to heat the head around the spark plug quickly as I could with a propane or mapp torch, to expand it to allow the plug to be removed.
What he said. The aluminum will swell bigger first than the steel plug and it will loosen up.
