TroofEngineers and number pushers make the world all *frenched up

Had all the same experiences with mine.Put the carb on last night. What usually takes me less than 5 min took almost 1/2 hour. Nothing fits quite right.
The metal insert does not want to stay in the intake boot.
The carb does not want to slide over the studs.
The impulse nipple missed the impulse line.
The fuel line did not want to go on the carb, and when it did, it was too long and kinked, so off it came and was shortened.
The plastic shroud did not want to fit on the case.
The metal doohickey did not want to fit in the plastic.
Everything had to be forced to get the nuts to start.
But, I GOT IT DONE!!!!
so let me get this straight, there are 3 classes, and you all is trying to graduate from 1st grade, 2nd grade, or 3rd grade depending on the work being done.
it appears to me ya'll is cheating, reading each others notes.
You know what happens when you cheat off the wrong guy ? You is wrong too.. lolso let me get this straight, there are 3 classes, and you all is trying to graduate from 1st grade, 2nd grade, or 3rd grade depending on the work being done.

I was thinking that the other days when I was trying to find those build threads.I agree. Bruce....... @Gentleman could you create a sub-section here in the chainsaw forum for these Asiany 660 builds?

We did a test on the dyno with my 460. Can't remember the results...thread on it somewhere.... but I use the white AM ones now, so it must have done pretty good.
In fact I think they flow better when "dirty" if I remember correctly.

I tried milling with them and the tune kept wandering too much as they plugged up. There's no tapping them out when they get like that. They have to be washed or thrown away.Mike, are you milling with them, or just cutting wood? I think the finer milling dust jams em up much faster than chips.

I have used HD-2s for years and never had a saw "not run right", although with about 2-3 years on the 362, it did slow the saw. I doubt an AM would do any better, but would love to see any tests that anyone does.
I have used both for a while, and now have more HD-2s on order. FYI, the cut test I did (and the times were very close) were with used (not new) filters.
I think the HD-2s are easier to "tap out", maybe I just make bigger chips!
