Ran across this while cruising you tube. Anyone have anything similar they have made or use?

discuss.
Cool idea, I could make use of it.

What is it, video available?

Warning when he throws the saw it kinda pisses you off a little:cursing2:

Yeah, having to roll logs around and having to preprocess them is so much easier than bending over with a properly sized and sharpened chainsaw and buck them up as they lay.
Also, his video is moot as he tries to portray regular bucking as more exerting while "trying to buck" with a chain on backwards or with a loop without any teeth on it.
Booo, THUMBS DOWN!

Needs a lot of space and preprocessed wood.
Just get a smaller saw for wood that size!

Betcha he has zero hearing.
Well, he CAN say he split wood all day long while sitting on his bee-hind.
His design has long been updated with much faster turning splitting wheels/blades.
It's OK if You have the time for it, You still have to get the rounds up to the splitter though.

OK, so swinging a decent ax is more tiring than pushing that weight forth and back and holding it away while placing the next round in front of the blade?
All dry straight grained wood, would split easier with an ax.

I love videos that show splitting firewood, they usually feature medium to small sized dry rounds, often knot free softwood.

I'll gladly keep using these: Dolmar PS-6400 Dolmar PS-7900 -1.JPG

... and this: splitting ax -01.JPG splitting ax -02.JPG splitting ax -04.JPG - and feel really good about it!

I wanna see someone moving a over 20" diameter fresh oak round without heavy equipment!
You either split it where it lies or You noodle it.

P.S.:
Where does One store those contraptions once One's done using them?

My one-and-only ever so perfect ax hangs on a wall right next to my parked car, takes up no space whatsoever and is ready for usage as I take it off the wall.

Just saying...
Those are interesting ideas, I just don't feel the need for them except for the fist post/video - that I like.

Yeah its nice to keep things simple lot less maintenance that way.I have 2 mauls used them till broke down bought a splitter.I still hand split though try to do it in the woods after cutting before coming home if time permits.

A small part of my arsenal, although all I truly need is the wooden handled ax to the left:

id like to see a video of the one on the left in action.
Here is one clip:

Have another to upload.

Even though it may not look like it those oak rounds had knot upon knot.

Knot free oak logs split effortlessly with that same ax - I may have splitting large knot free rounds from 2015. caught on my Digital 8mm tapes, would have to check and digitalize.
