Was a fir tree from the back of my property ,the sucky thing is i am the one that screwed that hotwire bolt/plastic ring in the tree a few years ago ,but it was broke off flush with the bark so i did not see it ,it was about 6 inches above the felling cut ,good thing i used a humbolt or would have hit it felling the tree .Glad i have a grinder to fix the chain ,that is .404 so the cutters have more sharpening life in them .Was that a residential tree? There's usually lots of metal in residential trees.
I find rocks in them also milling sometimes ,the trees grow around them for some reason sometimesSomebody need to invent a saw with a built in metal detector. Finding hardware in a tree ruins your day in a hurry.
Karma is a b*tch!. . .the sucky thing is i am the one that screwed that hotwire bolt/plastic ring in the tree a few years ago . . . .
Cut a coon in half that was in a hollow tree.A nest of squirrels in a poplar log for the mill. When the chips start coming out red you tend to stop...
