Anyone ever seen one of these suckers? I can find squat on the Internet about them, and can only conclude they're the ultimate lazy person's toy at £400 used!

Versions were also sold under the Tecomec and Oregon brand labels.

I would love one if I had a shop.

I guess that they can keep the price up because they are NLA new. I want to say that they sold for around$1,200 new in the US?

Thought about just getting the replacement dies and using a small drill press.

Thanks for the info! I could only ever justify it if I was making dozens of chains a day, and even then I find manual spinning fast and straightforward, makes me wonder just how much time there is to be saved from spinning rivets

Anything wrong with striking them with a hammer ball side? I've put 60 link chain together that way in a pinch with no patent link. In fact I've run this chain on a combine for two years now. Just a thought

If you are using new rivets / pre-sets, and peen them over carefully, you should be OK. Spinning forms a more uniform head.

Re-using pre-sets / presets is discouraged, since metal is damaged or removed. Those in the photo below were punched out with a chain rivet breaker.
