Yep. Been wanting a power pole saw for a while. Picked a job doing a couple days worth of tree trimming and decided to pull the trigger. Ive not used the husky pole saw to be honest, but ive spent a lot of time woth the echo and stihl pole saws and for me it was a no brainer. 25cc sounds wimpy, but it cuts great and shaft diameter is massive compared to the stihl. But the damn thing tips over on flat ground lol.

I wasn't about to spend powered pole saw money on a powered pole saw. I found a pair of Ryobi string trimmers on Craigslist for free. They both ran great and were missing air filters and air filter covers. Turns out they were cheap parts.

I found a pole saw attachment on a local Facebook rummage site for a few bucks. A little chain sharpening and fluids and she runs great. The 8" bar leaves a bit to be desired...

I have a couple of complete, non running Ryobi split shaft machines that can be yours for shipping. They date to the late 90's I believe and have the upside down engine that was used by Ryan/Ryobi/MTD etc. for decades.

I ended up getting the PPT280. Even got the 4' extension. I love mine.
I though about the 280, probly wouldve gone with it if i hadnt used the 260 quite a bit. Its fairly maneuverable even fully extended. Have you used the extension yet? That would be somethin to see.

I think the 280 is 10" more overall length right?

Yes I've used the full height of the pole saw. It is awkward at that length, but with a little practice it sure is handy. I'm glad I got the biggest one as there were a few spots I would not have reached if it was 1' shorter.
