Have no links saved, but any 4910 I see seems to be faster than the 501P,
so if they have the same engine it might be the ignition module / timing that is helping them out, same with the ported 4910 I see on the tube, they run better than any 501P I have seen.
I have a 4910 and 501 ported the same, they’re always identical in timed cuts. I think more guys build the 4910 because they’re cheaper. Timing curve could be different, but I saw no gains from swapping!

Ported the same, I would expect them to be similar if so.
Yes, the price of the 4910 is a big bonus, sadly they do not sell the 4910
here, and the 501P is €700.00

Once anything makes it to Ireland, it becomes very expensive compared with
the rest of the world. I had three SX501 saws, they all cost 700.00, one costing 710.00, this is why I do not buy the 50cc echo any more, too expensive, the larger ones like the 621 are a little better priced.

Makita saws were the best value here, but Makita / Dolmar stopped making Petrol / Gas saws, so I gave up on them.
Even the Efco / Oleo Mac saws are now expensive here, and they are made in
China now too in the 50cc sizes.

May be if someone has facebook they could message this guy, here he compares an Efco to the Echo 4310sx or Shindaiwa verient, he seems to be
in Italy, and has one, ask where he got it from and if he can get the 4910

I've got a couple of 490s that have been ported and are new but the bars got scratched a little bit that I would make you a deal on.

I want to get one of those saws.....
They seem a nice size and weight of saw, but being just .4kg lighter than the 501P, and same price here
when they get here, makes it a difficult call, they can be got in the EU but same problem price ways.
