Anyone use open ended drum sanders for woodwork? I want a large planer sometime but they are expensive. Friend of mine has an open ended drum sander I used couple times with him they are not fast compared to a planer but way better than hand sanders and you can sand the crown and cup out of slabs. Found one for 150$ going to get it this morning. 16-32 will sand up to 32” wide in two passes.
