Nothing too fancy here, cut the wore out ends off and welded a bolt on to secure the new ends.Purchased from a local Hardware. Very economical repair that put the mower back in service.

we do that here in the shop too except that we drill the end of the tie rod and insert a bolt with the head cut off before welding it. a little cleaner looking that way. not sure if there is any difference in strength though

Great as long as it is now adjustable. Something that Husqvarna should do from day one on many of their mowers because are sent out of the factory badly toed out or toed in. A few of the older can have factory adjustable drag links but not many customer are will to spend a couple hundred just for parts plus the labor.

It is able to adjust, loosen the nut and spin either in or out to where you want it. I did measure as best I could the length before cutting, to help set it up a little easier. Just a MacGyver hack to keep something going a bit longer for a good friend. Would I do this for Joe Blow down the row? Probably not, most likely.

do a few of them a month in here for customers...not a bad deal to do when you have the bolts and tie rod ends on the shelf. doing both ends you usually end up with more in parts and labor than just replacing with a factory drag link but some customers are willing to pay the extra so that they end up with an adjustable drag link with replaceable ends. next time an end fails it costs $6 instead of $30-60
