I ship often to EU, mostly Germany. Shipping on that saw will be close to $300 (educated guess). But if you want one, you better ask if that means he’s got one and if so, get it.

Thank you all for your fast responses! I have pm’d mrg1 and asked a few questions. Hopefully we can do business. Edwad, thanks for the reply. If something doesn’t work with buying a new saw, maybe we can work a deal?

You know , I did not know that the Solo 681 was a Dolmar 7900 until this morning. Though I have known the Solo 694 was the Dolmar 9000 for awhile. How many other saws were made for Solo by Dolmar?
I think it’s all pretty cool myself, as I collect them both.

The 9000 was a big pleasant surprise to me once I got mine to run. Really fast 90cc’s. 13000 rpm’s and it will hold up in the wood , throwing chips almost 13 feet in my driveway using a 20” bar. I bought a 25” Tsumura bar just for it and it still just vaporizes wood.IMG_5562.jpeg

They aren’t exactly the same. What makes the 681 a unicorn is the extra 1mm of crank stroke. I believe there are some other fitment issues between parts. Unfortunately importing one from Europe costs similar to a new 500i.

Have contacted Solo. If there is any stock left in EU.

The 681 crank in 7900 is already done.

The dolmar 9000/9010 and 7910 is also sometimes available on the EU market.

There was a sale at the dolmar factory a few months ago. There is nothing gas powered left.

Unicorn was a perfect description- I’m ashamed to admit that saw (the 681) went undetected by me for years. I’m getting old and am ready to find a lighter saw that still performs like my 100plus cc falling saws. I’m a Dolmar guy for years, but after the buyout I started running an orange and white saw. I still need some parts for my 603…it’s terrible thing to be biased, all saws matter-😎

Shipping cost from the US to Europe (apparently , especially Croatia!) is sickeningly expensive!
The other way around not so much!

Just saying.

I’ve got a handful of dolmars all in great shape. They all have only a handful of tanks thru them. Some may not even be fully broken in yet.

-Dolmar 421, .325 conversion, 16” Tsumura light bar, muffler mod
-Dolmar 6100
-Dolmar 6400
-Red Makita 64/7910 built/ported by Carl Miller, full wrap
-I also have a couple 84cc top ends new in box from hl supply. I was gonna play with them and test them out on the 6400.

No cell service in the back woods. Thanks for the link though. Sorry I missed it.

Heck, I’ve got two of them rascals and had I seen it, I’d have bought it. Man what deal. Gonna be tough to dig up a clutch cover, but I’d have still been happy to get it.

I have a solo 680 that was disassembled and stored in a box which is how I got it, but it seems to me everything is there just gonna need a new flywheel, and a piston! I believe I might have dolmar/makita 9000 or 9010 clutch side crankcase halves, as well as a rear handle! I’m not certain that’s what they are but that’s what I’ve been told! Also have a 7900 style top cover and air filter cover
