Finished the 6401/7910, same mods as my 7900 and widened the intake/ex same as the 7900. Same timing advance/carb mod. Difference is I did not give it more intake duration like the 7900. Cut times went from 10-10.5 seconds to about 7.5 seconds... which is a good difference in this small POS test log I have lol. It beat my 7900. The torque is impressive, you can really push on this saw compared to stock.
I agree, need a 30” piece so I can bury the 32” bar with a 8 pin to show where the power is really at. I did not change timing numbers or touch the transfers. Just widened the intake and exhaust.I believe you need a bigger stick to really show the improvement there.
