We all know the HD doesn't flow as well.

I'm using it because I like the housing, it provides me with more room for another type of filter.

I'm having trouble modeling the elbow I want to create. A tapered elbow is a tough one in solid works. I'll get it beat yet.

Not sure what you’re trying to achieve but when heating and bending plastic without having it collapse or kink fill the plastic withe firmly packed sand and seal the ends. Then you can heat and bend the plastic with minimal distortion.

Probably 3D print it

Or cnc, but I doubt it will be cost effective it will need a multi axis machine.

Mine was one of the ones that Mike built that was much slower with the HD kit on. I use to have his videos but can’t find them.

That’s why I’m running the mesh filter now. It’s picked up since switching from the flocked one.

Dude... but larger is much more betterer.

The dolmar low top actually works about as good as a 365/372 husky low top with air injection imho in terms of it staying clean.

What all is needed to switch back to the normal filter from the hd setup

The original plastic neck that contects the carb to the Air filter. It’s been a while but I thought that there might be a bolt or too that might be different (longer?) someone will come along and know for sure

HD uses longer bolts that are identified in the pic above, neck, filter and filter cover are different if swapping to regular from HD, and you must remove the filter base plate, the HD uses it but the regular filter does not.

7901 with and without filter. I fought tuning for a while before I puked the filter just to see if it made a difference.
