The tank has quite a large build volume....would need a very large 3d printer.

Need to design in 3d in the computer first....it would be some work no question

I actually wasn't thinking of printing a tank... Was mentioning to you guys I'm on the prowl for one. Not quite made of unobtanium but they are harder to come by right now than other 2 series era tanks. I think I found one new somewhere NOS or aftermarket? it was pricey.

I believe other model tanks fit the 262 and are more readily available.

I went to Spike60's shop this morning and chatted with him for about an hour. He said the 51/55 tanks work if you use the 254 anti vibe buffers. Of course you lose the spring AV of the 262, but save the saw...

Surprised they don't make AM tank holders for the 046/460 also, but they do make them for the 440, and you can make them work (but the fit won't be right, and the fuel capacity is less).

Also surprised they don't have "complete" MS 440 saws out yet, like they do for the 360, 361, 272 & 660.

Bob is a good guy, but that must have been a trip for you! Hope you saw some good foliage along the way.

Would love to have Bob at CT GTG. Did he mention if he might make it?

As of today I now have two 3d printed parts to show off.

I think the direction I'm going to go is to take nla parts and try to get them 3d modeled...in anticipation of needing parts that are difficult or impossible to get
How about a fuel resistant intake block for 2100?

I'm hoping to get to your place Friday late afternoon. Hopefully before dark. If you need help with any last minute preparations I'm your guy. Just point and tell me what you want done:)

Sweet! It'll never be perfect... But you can bet we will be able to cut wood!
Or at least have a piss rev contest!!

I won't be ready... Oh well...

Dan I'm hoping to get down your way by Friday afternoon also -- just tell me what to do and I'll do my best.
If you need stuff procured let me know what I can get.

I'm going to stay at the hotel at the bottom of the hill Friday night and secure my saws in your shop to make it easy to hang around for Saturday.
Last year it was pretty silly that I went home Friday night only to turn around early Saturday and head back!
