I’ve got kin folks in Cookeville, Sparta areas...nice places to live.Ive lived in east TN all my life. I grew up in east Knoxville and always had plenty of work to do before becoming a game warden. Now I live north of Knoxville and it is growing like crazy. Like @Mastermind said, I would look close to the big cities, but not in them. I would avoid Memphis and Nashville like the plague. Knoxville, Sevierville, Chattanooga, Cookeville, etc. Sevierville/Pigeon Forge is a big tourist town and rental companies are always looking for maintenance techs!
Ill stomp a foot wif me rubber boots...You looking for trouble little feller?
No.....that would be this guy. LOL
My family is from Antioch and Mt. Juliet. You outta see all the damn gangs in Nashville it is an outrage. Right offa uptown too. That barbeque smells awesome but I can tell from the off ramp I’m not gonna go get a plate of it.
Greenville, South Carolina is a very nice area. Cost of living is very low. People are friendly, there's no vehicle inspection or emission regulations.
If you have a good work ethic you can relocate anywhere, but it's appreciated here.
Dom, plenty of work/growth around the upstate. This area usually gets ranked in the top 10 places to live. Michelin North American headquarters, BMW, Flour Daniel and many others. Like others have mentioned about being close but not too close applies here as well. Housing prices have gotten silly in the last couple of years, yet probably still cheap from the outside looking in tho. We've lost the small town feel. It still here, just 15-20 miles outside of downtown. Northern Greenville county is very popular now.Thank you kindly for the advice gentlemen, as well as the laughs.
+1 on this guy's statement. He speaks the troof. Super beautiful scenery and as mentioned some really great riding on 2 wheels. My favorite would be the Blue Ridge Parkway from Maggie Valley to Asheville. Epic ride.Eastern TN is a beautiful place for sure. I've been down to the Robbinsville area twice. The Smoky Mountains are epic. If you do 2 wheels, it just doesn't get any betterer.
I found riding the Harley through Knoxville down 129 to Tellico Plains a little too crazy at times. People driving around with their heads stuck up their asses.I visited Knoxville a couple years ago for a buddy's wedding. Highly recommended, it was a nice city, with good countryside not too far away. I would echo what others said and find an area near the city that has the vibe you want. Work will find you with the skills you have.
You in Nascar country. Had lots of fun in Charlotte.Norf Kayroliner is not a bad place and all. If you come down heer and talk funnie, they're gonna
know right off you aint from heer. Our state has pretty much everything to offer -- mountains,
beaches, places in between. There are sizeable cities for this part of the country but plenty of
out of the way places if you like to be secluded. Not to mention we have NC BBQ. If you want to
work in the city and live in the country you have a lot to choose from. Charlotte is 30 minutes
from here but there are plenty of towns at a decent drive with that laid back feel.
I'm a country boy, born and raised. I likes the woods and I likes my privacy. As far as work? Pff...im willing to do anything up to and including selling my body in the night lolNorf Kayroliner is not a bad place and all. If you come down heer and talk funnie, they're gonna
