Wetterlings merged with Gransfors Bruk.

Almost looks like a Hults Bruk Almike head.

The fit is good, the finish leaves a little bit to be desired, for the price, I didn't mind a bit of sanding the handle and stoning an edge. The edge holds extremely well, I have to say.

The husqvarna multi purpose axe that was made by wetterlings, had a heavier head, and better profile, made for a better chopper, the hultafors burks axe made for husqvarna now, is not quite the same.

I think the difference is the edge quality but with a little honing you have a much more affordable version of the hults bruk. I have the forest and carpenters axes it love both of they

Hey Billy welcome to OPE. Some good axe depends on what your exactly looking to do with it. Do you want to fall trees? Split firewood? Cut kindling? Or a combination of all? Will you need to carry it on foot some distance? Many good axes out there by many makers both new & old. You can spend $15-$500..a little more info on intended use will help us get you the 'some good axe' your after.
