For my non-stihl saws I like a saw that looks badass, what kinda offerings should I be on the lookout for in a Remy?

Examples of great looking saws (to me ): pioneer 650 and 620, strunk speed demon, that sexy yellow and chrome beast of Lee's from the NY GTG
there are plenty of other saws I want because they are cool like a wankel Dolmar but for pure sexy looks.....

Ya betta not be afta the Remmies i ain't got. Ya find any 880's
you just betta ship em to me. Or else. :beer-toast1:

All the Remington bars I've come up with have been .058" guage.
Sucks because .404" X .058" has become scarce.

If you want it just say and I'll ship or hold it till we figure it out. Not much calling for these things local.

google showed me some 880 Super pics of a restored saw that are gorgeous
looks like most of those saws are very similar (aside from the super) so that gives me more chances to find a decent one when I go looking, I do like the slotted bantam cover best but the others have a lot nicer look to the recoil side

I'd been drooling over the restored 880 Super on Darrin's site (that belongs to his brother) for quite some time before I scored my 880 Super at a garage sale for $50. I also scored some parts for it about four years ago on ebay. It's coming up as one of my restore projects this summer after I get some saws rebuilt for some members here.

My girl friends deceased husband who was one of best friends had his fathers Remington .It was something on the order of 7 cubic inches . Talk about a bone shaker and loud enough to raise the dead .Not real fast but my gawk did it have the grunt .

Looking at Clints saw and thinking of some of the other good running "craftsman" saw just chaps my ass thinking about what that name has deteriorated into.

I take my 20+ year old rachet to be replaced and only use it momentarily to have it break again.

Sorry, rant off.

They were "rebuilding " rachets for a while .Instead of a brand new one it had a new mechanism inside an old case . Penny wise but pound foolish .
