John, have you considered raffling the saw off once it's complete?
Well I haven't but that's not a bad idea. I have had several people wanting me to contact them once the saw is done but who knows.

Just an update 75 bundles have been sold. Not bad for here considering summer won't get going until memorial weekend.

That would let a lot more of us get a shot at it.

John I'd like to hear some more on the business, I'd like to get my 9 soon to be 10 year old thinking about doing the same here. All my kids despise cutting firewood & my 2 oldest girls are about out of the house. $$ would get them motivated for sure. Could you show some pics of your bundler setup? Thanks!

Here's our set up, it's homemade. I would change a couple things and probably will one of these days.

We do 1.5 cubic foot bundles and sell them for the same price as the people selling .75 cubic foot bundles.

This project hit a stand still. Work, baseball ect. Plus I needed a different set of cases because mine had corrosion. It should fire back up shortly.

What does the corrosion look like?

So since this project hit a stand still I figured I'd give an update. We delivered the 200th bundle today! Really pretty happy with how everything is going.
Our local state park buys 4000 bundles a year. Man that would be a good account to get!

Here's an update on this operation if anyone cares. Last year he sold 785 bundles! He currently has about 130 bundled and ready with a bunch of wood split waiting to be bundled. The goal was 1000 bundles this year but who knows what will happen with COVID19.
