Been in a buying/selling mood lately. Pretty fired up about getting the second new saw I've ever bought, a 43cc Makita 4300FX3, which is the teal blue "smurf" color scheme, which is what I wanted. I bought it from England to get blue color. I am not sure but it looks like the 4300 sold in the USA is model 4300FRDB. I don't know what the differences are in those model numbers other than the USA model is red-orange color. The 4300 has good reviews, looking forward to trying a Makita (Dolmar) saw, never have. I also am intrigued with the Makita 3601 model, even smaller saw. Need to study up on that one more as it has reed valves? Then figure out if buyers are still enamored with it, might try one of those someday! Will be thinning the herd to make room for this (and maybe another) new or new to me saw.

It’s a Dolmar 410. Good saw. Mag cases, 42cc, 3HP and 10.8lbs dry I think from memory. A little fat, but great AV, EZ start, and strato tech. I believe the muffler has a cat inside. If so, see about removing it, should get you some HP back, make it lighter and quieter.

The only difference is color and maybe different b/c setup.

Yeah, that’s what I meant. I was just typing about it yesterday. Brain fart I guess

It's odd that in all the info provided for the saw (bought from the UK) included no info about bar/chain, all it said was "bar and chain," lol. I wonder what will come on it, anyone have an idea?

Wow, a 15 inch? I don't think I have ever seen a 15 inch bar, lol! I wonder why it's not 16". It seems chains would be harder to get in 15" size.

All Husqvarna set up are 15” not 16” Makita/Dolmar are on the same wave length to Husqvarna.

I like the 15" bars. The ones I have use 64DL and the chain comes out even. I hate those 66DL with one double cutter.
