Evidently the early 125's used the larger coil while the later used a smaller like on the 10 series .Both mine are the 10 series size .My IPL's are dated 1970 and 1977 . I didn't check the micro fiche which is dated later . It doesn't make any difference because seldom does a Mac points type coil fail .
So it likely just needs a wire and probably clean the points then?

Might not even need the points set but it might not be a bad idea .You'd be surprised ,I've seen those reed valvers sit a long time and light off .Usually the carbs need a rebuild .
What's your thought's on the fixed jet carb? It looks like the sdc20 isn't to easy to find, but I would like to maybe go that route.

Fixed jet--don't like them .The Mac 105 I have had one which I replaced with a fully adjustable from a 125 .As I understand it they used the fixed jets to cut down on warrantee work caused by people running them too lean. Most reeders need to run just a tad on the rich side to get the most out of them .The fixed jets had the main jets sized for the altitude where the saw was sold at.That said a fixed jet won't hurt them .
I'm not sure what I did with that fixed jet but I think I hung it on a 7-10 .However it could be in one of the coffee cans full of carbs hiding in my garage.Damned cans are elusive, they hide very well

I think I'm going to need to clean the cylinder before trying to start it. I will know more when it shows up. 0306191909.jpg

What other carbs can be used besides the sdc20 that are fully adjustable? So far still no luck tracking down a sdc20.

Damn. I wish I could help you out but I sold this one to someone on this forum a while back... @sawfun maybe? This one came on my P60, but a guy (Arrowhead on AS) gave me an NOS carb at some point so I figured I didn’t need it.

Hopefully tomorrow I will start tearing it down. I'm pretty happy the bore looks great. It seems like it must have sat for most of it's life. I'm very happy with what I see so far.
