Metric in both instances. However, Husky studs are held in place to the case with a different engineering design than Stihl studs. You knew that, right?

Looked a lot like 5/16 to me, glad I asked.
I got past it by borrowing fasteners from another saw.
I made a case splitter and am home schooling myself on these.
Bearing removal next.
Thing is rough inside, will learn from/strip down and shelve the good parts.
Did not break anything during disassemble,, yet.

The studs appear pressed in from back.

That worm drive looking sleeve on crank, Drives oil pump? Should I have pulled it before pushing crank from drive side case?

Before I put my claws on this thing, the drive side bearing was stuck and broke. After split, the other bearing is a little unhappy too.

I'll keep on fixing until good and broke.

Crank out, Bearings off, stowed for parts.
Not going to build (rather attempt) this one but have other nicer ones.
Due to youns past and present posts,
this was not difficult.

Also learned some you guys screen names from another site, the search works good there for me.
Kinda wish I had stuck around there in the day, just didn't need the negative . Thanks.

That's how you learn how to build a saw slowly take it apart and remember where everything goes then start to slowly put it back together. What's the best part is when you start it up then you know you did something right. Lol
