Bar mounted lith-ion chain grinder

"Micro-Jolly 10.8" oughtta be a big hit with the ladies:
Convenient, cordless, not too girthy, battery power that lasts for days.

All jokes aside, I picked it up for sharpening my milling saws at remote cutsites. The cutters get work-hardened and is hard on files. Also, it's too much hassle taking the Alaskan mill off the bar and removing everything else, just to grind a ripping chain.

Grinds a precise razor sharp 10 degree milling chain in short order. Adjustment are decent. No more wiping out files......

Yep, Archer plus brought them in. He was worried they might not sell. I couldn't think of a better sharpener for milling chains where a fella doesn't want to take the mill frame off the saw. It lacks some adjustments but honestly, the milling chains don't need those aggressive, custom angles.

just following up on this thread. I'm looking for a grinder and this looks perfect for me. I am a homeowner and don't have a shop or easy place to set up a bench grinder.

only question I was wondering was I noticed on their bigger models, the grinder clamps the chain so it stays in the middle. I don't see a clamp on this one?

Still grinds my milling chains just fine. The grinder has a knife-edge sliver of metal that aligns the grinder and sets between the chain and bar. Keeps the cutters in place just fine.

Magnets are really strong. Actually makes me feel like ah weakling when I attempt to remove it. Be sure to clean oil off bar and magnets.
