Convenient, cordless, not too girthy, battery power that lasts for days.
All jokes aside, I picked it up for sharpening my milling saws at remote cutsites. The cutters get work-hardened and is hard on files. Also, it's too much hassle taking the Alaskan mill off the bar and removing everything else, just to grind a ripping chain.
Grinds a precise razor sharp 10 degree milling chain in short order. Adjustment are decent. No more wiping out files......
