If look real hard at a 562 or any husky for that matter you might be able to Find some shade of orange that's close to the same orange on the 064. Other then that I see no possible similarities

Great it's gonna have stinky husky all over inside.

Think I should do a 064 hybrid build thread on this saw fellas or is it to close to the same as the 066 one?
An 064 hybrid build would be cool to see. I've often wondered how they preform.

Any cylinder I've took of my 066 or 660 and put on my 064 always gains on the 064 chassis. I've never cc'd the crank cases but it could be smaller but the small big end bearing and rod could even it out, I put more stock in the small aluminum flywheel and aggressive ignition timing. But it's just a theory.

the 064 and the early 066 both share the same crank and the crank cases for the 064 and the early 066 are very similar. I'd be willing to bet the crank case volume is almost identical.

Similar theory as that of the 044 hybrid? Smaller crank case, higher velocity transfers?
I don't believe there's any difference in crank case volume in the 064 from the first 066's but I could be wrong. My 064 actually has a set of red light cases now, mine had a couple stripped bolt holes and I like the 66 oiler better.

I used the short case with a poly crank on my red light saw.
Couldn't get the flywheel side bearing to take the compression.

Interesting, I didn't know you could put the poly crank in the early case. I thought the fw side bearings were completely different.
