Assembly of Husqvarna 52 chain brake

Repairing saw for our daughter. My father in law disassembled the chain brake back in 1995. The saw is great, started on the first pull, but the chain is always turning. Anyone know how to assemble? I have all of the parts.

I don't believe there was a Husqvarna 52. Do you mean 51?
also it sounds like you may have a clutch spring problem or clutch bearing needs attention

+1 on what David has mentioned. You might also have sawdust accumulated between the shoes and spider of the clutch ass. This would prevent full shoe retraction at low idle.

Your idle is set too high or your clutch is not disengaging for the reasons already mentioned. When you figure out the correct model of your saw, you can get an IPL and or shop manual to help figure out the assembly.
