This is just my take guys,AS is not just going to just go away.I was not sure so I went over and checked they have bout 69,000 members.This site has 6 or 700. Granted in time this site has a huge potential to grow.But this will take time.I was not involved in the modded chain saw discussion over there,mainly because I am not into modded saws that much.But I followed most of the posts,I guess just to watch the drama. I watched as both sides of the modded saw debate cut loose on each other. Sometimes I thought you guys were a little tough on BS.But I thought that BS deserved most of what he got.When it comes to debate and forum manners (so to speak)BS is not very good at it,that is just my opinion.It is also my opinion that AS would have been well served a long time go to have just got rid of BS. If they would have done that 90% of the drama in the modded posts would have not happened.
Having said all that I want you to know that I do not like Walmart much.But I would be hurting my family by not shopping there and saving money.Money does not grow on trees and my wife and I try the do the best we can with what we got.
It is the same with this site and AS.I get value from both sites.I a not going to stop going to AS and hope to continue to come here.As far as modded saws AS may have lost a lot of the talent that use to be there.But they still have a lot of members in the other forums that they have not lost.I actually enjoy the discussion in firewood and the off topic.
Having read some of the crap the owner over there has done the last few weeks I think in many ways he is classless.I do not think much of the owner.But I have met many over there that are great people. I will continue to come to both of these sites.As you grow I will hopefully spend more time here you have some great members.There will be some here that do not agree with me.But possibly the best course of action is to just forget the past and move on.

Hell, Brush Ape is probably 1200 of those members.

If you are truly interested in beating AS at numbers (and I am not sure that is what ....some .....most?.... anyone?... wants). Then what you need to do is have the (core) OPE website's Meta-tags tweaked until OPE showes up first in Google searches.
