All I know is, it’s in development. So I imagine it’s a way off coming to market yet.

the 390 and 395 are already winding down in some markets their replacement cant be too far away.....

id be completely happy if they took the 395 went to auto tune, threw a modified 2100 crank in it, reinforced the cases, went to a side chain tensioner and dropped the 390. they could call the new one the 599xp
(or 5100xp as this would be a return to the 100cc class saws a la 2100cd 2101xp 298xp)

My guess is that the 390 will fade away, and a larger cylinder will be installed on the robust 572 chassis. Perhaps a "588". A nearly 100cc auto tuning saw on a diet would be so so so nice. A robust side tensioner would be appreciated.

How do you feel about an inboard clutch instead of outboard?

My above thoughts were basically to bring back the 100cc class with the 395 with a 40mm stroke crank.
I would do an 80cc saw off the 572 chassis using a big bore like what dolmar and solo did with there 7900/7910 681 saws which have superb power to weight.
Then some thing around 100cc for big bars and not that i want to see the 120cc class saws go away but for most any needs the 100cc class saw would cover it. 100cc was the biggest husky made for many years with the 2100cd/2101xp/298xp and they got the job done
