If you know of any independent Makita-Dolmar dealers, please post their info. TYIA
I remember someone mentioning an indy Makita dealer somewhere in NY state.

That looks like P.O.E. in Ohio- I already touched base with him but he's almost sold out of Dolkita saws- has one left and it's not the model I want.I know of a place, but they aren't going to give them away if that's what your looking for.

A couple of hours ago I spoke to a Makita-Dolmar dealer who said they've moved away from Dolkita gas chainsaws over the last few years because of so many issues with carbs on 5000 series saws, and on the 64xx-79xx series saws- stated the solution was to replace the carbs with new Zamas from Zama. He said Makita never gave an answer as to the cause of the carb issues.
What's with the secrecy? Posting a pic with no info, and just saying "Nope" isn't exactly helpful to the OP. Where is this dealer, and what is the name of it?Nope

Doesn't sound like a very good dealer, to be honest. The 5000 series floods easily. That's a known issue. The solution is to not use the choke, but leave fast idle and pull. Usually works like a charm. With that said; I have quite a few 5000 series saws, and I've never had any issues starting them. The 64-79xx saws have a quick fix if they flood. Modify or replace the spring in the carb.Something about the carbs being epoxied?

Epoxied H screws is something I've only seen on the smaller saws, like 421/4300 and smaller. I could be wrong on that, though. Short of the story is it's never been an issue for me. Others may have different experiences, obviously.
You know itYou must have a super duper dealer like I do. [emoji23]
