Haven't advertised this before, however, to celebrate the good weather with some chainsaw fun with a little GTG consisting of some firewooding in the morning followed by lunch and some "grudge race" play time cutting cookies. the usual BSing and whatnot. It's in Minocqua Wisconsin be there with your play toys at 8:00.
If you need directions, please PM me and I'll get you all set.
Hope to see you
Steve

I'm going to ask those attending, that in the name of safety and in the best interest of our host Steve, PPE must be used when cutting. Sunglasses, safety glasses, helmet with shield are fine. Some type of eye protection.
Chaps. If you don't have some, ask to borrow some from someone not cutting. I'll gladly loan mine when not in use.
Also..no climbing the piles. If you can't reach it with boots on the ground, stop. The area can be cleared and logs rolled down.

And last thing...
20" on the firewood. I have a few small dowels that are cut to 20". I believe there will be marking paint and/or chalk. It's one thing that makes it easier for Steve when feeding his woodbox.

I put Ed in charge of finishing off anyone that hurts themselves. So y'all stay safe eh.
As far as twenty inches goes anything close plus/minus is fine. That should go through all the splitters except old hop in skip if it's any longer. So even if you get five 19" or five 21" hunks out of a log that's fine too, as the logs are all close to 100" long plus or minus a few.

Don't get the idea that I am going have the safety police everyone for a full kit of PPE. However an atmosphere where everyone can be comfortable wearing PPE and not be ridiculed for doing so.
Ones actions however may be a different story if they are of a nature to be detrimental to others then you may be asked to try something else to do for the sake of everyone else around you.

This is also not the time to try and be Joe Logger when that's the furthest thing from your wheelhouse. Do only what you are comfortable with and everyone should have a good time, which is what the event is about.
Can I be Andy Logger?

I have some unfortunate news fellas: I won’t be able to attend this one. Schedule conflicts that I can’t rearrange.
You are not the only one Andy. I still need to find time to meet you for breakfast and deliver of Bob Dolmar

Which means I probably should do something about my plethora of crappy chains.
But we know I won't.
Same dull chains as last fall I bet slacker. You could give a what not to do demonstration by using them that way and turning the bar blue like I’ve seen on so many saws before and they question why it quit. You all have fun just saw this but I’ll be on a fishing trip so guess I’ll see everybody in the fall possibly.
