When we spoke last evening I wondered if it was a Poulan built store brand from Ardan's which was a chain here but it clearly is not.

BITD, Alden’s was a Spiegel competitor. Both did primarily catalog sales, with a few stores here and there. I’ve never seen a saw rebadged for them. Great find!

Yes they were competitors, the Aldens saws are way to hard to find but so are the speigels. I have been looking for the Spiegel saws for a long time
