Aftermarket Rancher clutch covers

Are any of the aftermarket Husqvarna Rancher clutch covers any good, or is this another "OEM or die" part?

The later ones like the 460. I'm looking at it as an upgrade to the 345/346/353 series.

I think the chain tensioner method is different between the 460 and 353/346. Might still work though if you remove the tensioner on the 353/346.

I bought an aftermarket clutch cover for a 445 a while back that seemed well made and it was like 10 bucks.

I got an aftermarket clutch cover for a 55 Rancher and it worked well. I will probably get another since I have another 55 to build out.

Put one of these on my 346 seems to work just fine. Tensioner was a little crunchy the first couple turns but other than that seems fine

Did you remove the stock tensioner on the saw? This would be nice for the 359 as well…

Yes remove the tensioner on the saw and use the one in the new clutch cover

It seems it would make bar/chain changes less of a PITA with the outboard clutch.

I have the oem 460 covers on 350s, 346s, 357s, & 359s, it is so much better.
I have not tried aftermarket covers.
