7 or 8 cuts and they'd probably sound close to the same, at least that's what I was thinking after using the 4701 for a while, although my "short bar" is a 25"I liked the way CR500 run with the shorter bars. It didn't sound as rich as the 4701.
20" and 8 or 9 pin @15k for racing is what I want to see.7 or 8 cuts and they'd probably sound close to the same, at least that's what I was thinking after using the 4701 for a while, although my "short bar" is a 25"
I just leave the 36" on mine haven't put a smaller bar on after reading that I don't think I will is this even after the 60 second recalibrationThe problem is from switchin from a short bar or light load to a long bar or heavy load. It takes the mtronic too long to catch up and smokes the piston
The new coil I put on mine definitely makes it run richer has a little more top end as wellHow do we know the new coil makes it run richer? just wondering if stihl has stated that...
That's a nice rpm wouldn't go pushing my luck with any more thoughThere's no doubt one at 14500 would be mighty sporty.
You can hear some of them 4 stroke hard as soon as pressure is let up in videos. The rpm on them doesn't seem to be that bad. Seen 16k on 066s before. How do we know the new coil makes it run richer? just wondering if stihl has stated that...
What's a new 4701 coil go for?

I just called Stihl Tech Support today - They said if you have 4700c or 4700d it will be fully warrant-able - ie. 4701A = free replacement.
4700E they say is good and not warrant-able. But I've never seen anyone that had an "E".
