Got a 661 on the bench, wondering what you guys are favoring for squish. The OEM BG is almost .020 and im getting .016 baseless. Seems awfully large to me . Also the SM shows the intake manifold with some "extension" in the middle of it that needs to be "expanded" yet mine doesn't have the same "bridge" 1144 141 2202 is my PN

I’m not exactly certain what factory squish is either. But .036 isn’t terrible. I leave 90cc saws at .025”.
You would need to roll the fly wheel back-and-forth a number of times until you can no longer feel the solder to get an accurate reading

What they said, larger solder doesn't always fully compress. Sometimes I'll even put the starter back on and give her a pull, that seems to give the most consistent readings.
