620p delayed chain brake

Sporadically has a delay before the brake engages when saw is at idle. Hit the handle…1-2 seconds later…brake is on. Thoughts?

Check to see if it does this with the side cover off. I've sometimes had to grind/sand off some of the travel limiter flange on the right brake flag mount where it hits the top of the side cover. Even on a new unit they sometimes have a delay because the brake lever can't move front far enough. Try grinding some off the flat portion on the bottom of the brake mount and see if it improves things.
