Hey guys, I have a 562XP I bought new nine years ago. I've probably put fewer than ten gallons of fuel through it over the years, always non-ethanol gasoline, and always using Opti-2, which my local dealer sold me with the saw. Since Day One, it's had a 28" Tsumura Total bar on it.

I went to clean the air filter last week and decided I should just get a new one, which is when I learned about the 2020 updated filter, intake, and cover. Those arrived yesterday, and after installing them, I'm wondering: Are any must-do updates for the 562XP?

Because you folks like photos:

I would do the muffler mod for sure it lets some more heat out and update the firmware,i see you already have the new top cover.

Muffler mod.

Oh, that’s a good one.

Thanks! I recall reading the tail end of that of that thread, but not the beginning.

There’s definitely a lot of stuff in there I’m unprepared to do to a running saw. I suppose I should just run it until it breaks. If it breaks.

What I did do was get impatient wile awaiting the air filter kit to arrive Wednesday, so Tuesday I went out and bought a new saw in a better different shade of orange.

The 500i is about the same physical size as the 562XP, but it’s a good bit more powerful.

I did the exact same thing. Imho, 28” is too big a bar for the 562 unless your cutting softwood I guess.
I had a 562 for a year, bought it used. What bothers me the most is Husqvarna had known for years that there was a problem and never addressed it. At the least they should have supplied all the update filters, covers, carbs etc for free and gone one step further and replaced the saws too with the new Mark II.
I know way to much to ask and would never happen, but hey there are other manufacturers out there and that’s just what I did, bought Stihl.
