I just did another 562 build all stock...
Did leak down test bad air leak...
Hmm... checked the common air leak areas no leaks... I had got ahead of myself and had put the flywheel on...
It was the last place for a possible leak so removed flywheel and of course bad seal leak...
Dam... looked closer seal not leaking wtf...
Leaking between race and crank never had this on a 562.. sigh
What now???? Brand new bearing and seal, crank was like new.

Any tips from the pro builders would be sweet... hoping for a tip or trick to seal the race to crank...

In for Input.

I understand this was an issue on the 57x series: 570, 576.

I've not heard of this on a 562.

Sorry guys been out on the timber sale cutting... Geez it's 90 here might be summertime now... first day of fireseason here in western Oregon.

The leak is between the crank and the inner bearing race. The seal is working as it should. The crank was installed with my 562 crank puller. I heated the case to 325 degrees to install the bearing it dropped in.
I heat the cases on 562s so they will last... a couple of times cold and they get loose.
I've done a bunch of bearing jobs on 562s never had one leak here...
I'll try and get a pic...

Great idea to use locktight..
Same thing I did put 2lbs of vacuum and used red locktight all my other locktight is gel.
I also tried thread sealer over the locktight .

I put the locktight on last night and let it sit. I redid the leak down and it held 5psi pressure and vacuum for 30min...
I just got it back together and it fired right up yaa...
It's my cutting partners saw so I'll keep my fingers crossed until he's got 40 plus hours on it...

Thanks for the help...
