That would’ve been nice! They are actually harder to track down than I thought. People either hold onto them or want too much money. I’ll probably end up buying a new one but would prefer to buy used.

Cannons are tough to find east of the mountains here. My 60" came up at just the right time and was near mint new, scratches only and local. It was just too big for the guys use. He needed a 50" for stumps. It was D009 so I opened it to D025.

I don’t really need it but have always wanted one. I’m probably going to leave it a my parents for a bit as we have some milling we want to do this spring and summer.

You had the big Cannon in 14mm, if you wanted to mill with a bar that big then you really want 120cc

Cedar and tamarack is easy going, plus I still have a 14mm setup. Who knows if I’ll use it? Heck, I don’t use 90 percent of the saws I own.

So when he wants to sell it, it'll fit an ms290. Obviously this opens up the market for this bar to go on the saw in the garage of lots of guys who spend money unwisely and also want to show off their super awesome chainsaw. Makes sense to me.

That is precisely why I wanted a D009 that was opened up to 12mm. It fits a lot of saws.

I have zero experience with machine shop stuff. Can someone explain what is the easiest way to open a h1 Cannon to 12mm?

a machine shop with a mill is the easiest way, it could be done with a carbide burr but it is easy to mess up the slot and not end up flush and straight.

I had a guy open a 12mm to 14mm. Left him another bar for a pattern. I imagine he used his mill. Turned out perfect.
