Too bad you didn't post this a year ago - I traded off a minty 54" Cannon in regular Stihl mount (066/660).

That would’ve been nice! They are actually harder to track down than I thought. People either hold onto them or want too much money. I’ll probably end up buying a new one but would prefer to buy used.

Cannons are tough to find east of the mountains here. My 60" came up at just the right time and was near mint new, scratches only and local. It was just too big for the guys use. He needed a 50" for stumps. It was D009 so I opened it to D025.

Dave's here now. Buy the new one. No disappointment.

Just curious, but why?

So when he wants to sell it, it'll fit an ms290. Obviously this opens up the market for this bar to go on the saw in the garage of lots of guys who spend money unwisely and also want to show off their super awesome chainsaw. Makes sense to me. :)

I have zero experience with machine shop stuff. Can someone explain what is the easiest way to open a h1 Cannon to 12mm?
