Well Sir i like the 395 piston ring end locator pin
Do the ring ends wear more using it on a 394 cylinder, ported?

Just curious if it will be a wear issue on my chainsaw mill. It currently has a thick ring 394 oe piston I found in good condition. Using oe rings and slug and clips, ect...

A Meteor 395 will be my second choice if needed. My current 394 ring end is 4mm to the port from the gap. Not my port work. It scares me but running a piston... with it clipping rings... will scares me mo!

Staying with a two ring piston on this rig.

No... just down at the piston rings or an old set from a ported saw. Does not have to be yours. Any will do but the intake or jug would need to be off to see what I wana see.

Anyone have a ring pic of worn ported 395?

I know it was odd question. Was just wondering if had any affect on the motor. I'm new to this all orange thing and all the Husky piston differences. Old habits say to separate the rings and don't put all the end gaps in one spot because of wear and such. I know... Stihl does it now also.

Today's feedback says it don't matter. Some said it do... some said it don't... idk. Plenty of you guys built too many of them so I ask around. Done worrying about it now. Have three piston to use in 394 and 395.

Someone buy this nice done saw!
