I recently repossessed my 372xp non xtorq. I'd like to put the 75cc top end on it. Is this a direct swap of piston and cylinder? Or do I need to change out other parts as well? Are they still available OEM? What's the power difference? Thanks in advance.

No extra parts needed. Little torque gain stock. Not as snappy either.

I was told the OEM has small transfers.

Easily remedied. ;)

Realize the OP has an OE, but I have an XPW, my brother has an XT. Stock to stock, we couldn't tell a difference side x side in the same wood.

As we stepped into modding, stage by stage, the XPW seemed to take to mods just a pinch better. Still very close though. I would say based on our limited experience that the small difference can be accounted for by the slightly larger displacement.

I would defer to the advice of the more experienced porters/builders on whether the 372 OE or XPW takes to mods and porting better....

Of course, if you don't intend to mod it, then everything I posted is irrelevant.

Have you run a compression check on it?? That would be the first thing I would do in the course of making the decision on whether or not it needs a top end refresh. Pull the muffler and take a peek at the piston too.

Haven fun!

I like the xpw. It's a good bit of work to get the transfers done but they run good afterwards. The xtorq runs good when ported but it's not a racer.
