Are there old ones around and what type are you looking for?

I haven’t searched that hard for used yet but I’d imagine there are some out there.
These are $2k which is way more than I can justify. Nice machine, however.

My USG does them but it is a struggle since I doubt these machines are meant for that big a chain.

Seems Ore makes one, 530-120 for under $500. Will look used…

I think the 530 will work. I could justify buying one to replace the cheap Vevor I use for rakers now. I’m doing 3-4 3/4” chains a week but may wind up with more.

3/4 chain is supported out of the box by Super Jolly and its derivatives, e.g. Oregon 620.

Other Tecomec grinders like the Compact, Jolly Evo, and Jolly Star also officially support 3/4" chains when equipped with additional accessories such as a vise kit or a backstop. For example, Archer sells Tecomec kit K00200406, which fits both the Jolly Evo and the Oregon 410, for $25.

This is the specs on the timber tuff Oregon knock offs, I have two right now and have ground at least 1000 chains on them so I’ve definitely got my monies worth at 129&149$ when I bought them

I got a new 530 and it works great. It is just the new version of their 520 but with a larger carriage for the big chains. I also got the smaller 520 jaw kit to be able to do rakers on regular chains so it replaces my cheap Vevor.

I did have to modify the chain stop...I think somebody goofed and put the 520 version on it. Easy fix, cut off 3/8", works now.

Here is the Silvey P&D I have. I made the 510 style table for it so you can grind regular chain with it as well.
