Up for sale is my 288xp. Thought I wanted to get into the collecting side of saws, turns out I have other priorities that I need to address. Saw was kept in storage prior to mine as well, damage on the air filter cover happened while I had it in my storage unfortunately. PM with any other questions you may have. Price is subjective, so I don’t really know what to put on it. Shipping out of 18705 for reference. Thanks for looking.

I think the saw is in good shape, I paid $1k for it, it’d be great to get that back out of it, but that was also prior to the air filter cover hole and I paid it because it was a saw I wanted badly enough. I figured I’d just leave it for people to make an offer. Don’t know if that clarifies it any lol.

Looks like it's in nice shape, there you go.
If it were minty you would get closer to that, but then again, the value of our dollars are buying a lot less so...
Is that the original cover, I thought the 89 was the anniversary model.
It does clarify it a "bit" better. I always say there's no reason to waste peoples time when you know what you want to get out of an item.
Hope you get her sold.

It’s a tough time to move anything with the holidays so close, not the ideal time to sell IMO. Wait till tax returns come in and everyone has a little extra cash In their pockets.

If I were in your shoes, I’d clean up under the muffler, retake pics, and see if you could
trade or buy an anniversary top cover, then re-list.

1989 serial number with matching anniversary top, non-governed carb, with the correct early metal brake flag, and should be a KS non decompression valved cylinder. Strong runner for sure! Best of luck!
