What's wrong with the shinnys.
Just use duct tape for the parts you want to be black, keeps the plastics nicer longer .
Besides what's wrong with an all red saw.

I hear that, the Japs make some great products. I've got a shinny trimmer, I could go out right now and give it 3 pulls and she'd pop, forth and running. It's at least 15 yrs old only changes the lines and the filter, and a couple line heads, need a new one for next year.
I'd say this 288 is just as reliable of a saw, and easy to work on and most anything you need is available too.
