A friend has a 288xp with OEM non decomp cylinder and is wanting it changed to decomp for his dad for fathers day. Anyone have one? Thanks.

If it has the boss for the decomp it can be threaded.

The new oem top end kits come with a decomp cylinder. I don't think they are too expensive either.
